The Ventriloquist DMX MP3/WAV Player Just $199!

The Ventriloquist is a DMX controlled MP3/WAV file player. We designed the Ventriloquist for theaters, haunted attractions, theme parks or any other venues where remote sound sources are needed. The Ventriloquist is truly the best and the most cost effective method of having centralized control over all of your sound effects - and at a price that is less than a third of the competition. You won't find a better product or a better price anywhere.
In our own haunted house we often need multiple sources of sound in each scene and we need the sounds to be synchronized with the special effects and animatronic characters in the scenes. With the Ventriloquist you simply put a USB memory stick in the USB port with the sound files you need for each location.
Then you plug the DMX network cable into the DMX input port and run the next DMX cable out to the next DMX light, fog machine or other DMX device on the DMX network. You can add as many Ventriloquist boxes as you need. Each Ventriloquist can have its own unique DMX address, which is set by putting a simple text file on the USB drive. There are no dip switches to set. Or you can give all your Ventriloquists the same DMX address but use different sound files. That allows me to send a simple “play song 1” command to multiple Ventriloquist devices and they will each play their own unique sound files. The Ventriloquist sound files are simple MP3 or WAV files. Just plug the USB drive into your PC or Mac and copy the files you want onto the USB drive.
Now with any DMX enabled PC or Mac DMX controller software you can tell the Ventriloquist which sound file to play and even control the volume level. And of course The Ventriloquist works great with all the SkullTroniX products and with VSA.
For each location you can have a sound system with whatever power you need for that location. You can have huge woofers for thunder or small speakers for small animatronics. The Ventriloquist is not dependent on what kind of amplifier or speakers you have.
At the heart of the Ventriloquist is an MP3/WAV file player called the VMUSIC2. The VMUSIC2 is a tiny USB MP3 player commonly used in robotics projects (You can see the VMUSIC2 in the picture above partially plugged into the Ventriloquist housing). Normally, controlling the VMUSIC2 isn’t possible from a DMX network. In fact, it requires microcontroller hardware and software which most of the world isn’t capable of providing. We’ve bridged that gap and made the VMUSIC2 available not only in a user-friendly package but also have made it into a remote device that can be placed where needed. Even inside an animatronic.
The Ventriloquist uses 4 DMX channels. The first channel allows Skip track forward, reverse, stop and play/pause. The second channel controls the sound volume and the third and fourth channels are used to control which sound file to play. There are 204 individually addressable sound files possible.
